Are We There Yet?

Year end is always a busy time in any organization, and especially in the lives of its employees. There is a lot of scrambling around due to budget planning for the coming year, performance reviews, open enrollments, client meetings, service renewals, holiday parties, family gatherings, open enrollments, getting together with friends, final projects, last minute client work to be done before year end (use up that budget!), and did I mention open enrollment?
Based on the dearth of recent posts, you might surmise we've been busy around ye ole Axios Christmas tree. You'd be right. Year end is game time in our industry, and all hands are on deck until the late hours of the last business day of the year, and in all realty, it doesn't slow down much until the first payrolls of the new year are scrubbed and W-2's are sent out.
Busy as we are, a lot of that busy involves being out in front of our clients and their teams, and it's a great thing. While we try to make the rounds on a regular basis, we do spend a bit of time fighting fires, so its always nice to step back a bit and catch up with the great folks we work with, and for. Finding out how they and their organizations are doing - not just today, but really how they are doing, what the future looks like, how we can help them ramp up the positive things they are achieving, and what are some of the pressure points we can help alleviate.
While the Axios team works well together and enjoys that time, I think most our crew has such a client-service focused approach to what they do, we actually like working with our clients just a bit more. So while it's a busy time of year, it's also kind of fun. Maybe a sick fun, but kind of fun nonetheless. For our clients this is good news, and one of the reasons we have one of the highest client retention rates in the industry.
For our competitors, well, just one more thing to keep them scrambling at year end.
From the Axios team to you and yours, have a great holiday & New Years.
